The park now also carries the name ƛ̓éxətəm. Its open landscape offers a different kind of Tri-Cities outing: watching the sky and listening for wildlife instead of rushing to a destination.
The former farm area is an important habitat. Stay on marked paths, keep dogs leashed and give birds room. The surrounding Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam communities share this green space.
Before visiting, check Metro Vancouver’s current park map and notices. Bring binoculars if you have them, or just bring patience. A few minutes of quiet observation can make a familiar landscape feel new.
